one of my favourite things to do in winter is to go out for breakfast. one of my favourite places in Adelaide would have to be Stirling. this morning I decided to combine the two which meant adventure time.

it happened to be 6 degrees in Stirling this fine morning, the streets were foggy and it was just delightfully freezing. we 11824265_10206451148711267_1406925105_ndrove past Miss Perez Kitchen & Bar; from the outside it looked like the most intriguing place to have a meal. so inside we went.

we were welcomed in by their team; I always feel fondly towards a place when they take the time to greet you. there was a communal table by a gas fire so that was an easy decision as to where to sit. it was also right by a beautiful painting, it may not be to your taste but it certainly was to mine.

the staff here were extremely friendly and chirpy for a Sunday morning, and were always around re-filling our water and making sure our meals were okay. so if you like good service Miss Perez certainly delivered for us, and hopefully will for you too.

Nathan and I had our usual drinks: one soy cappuccino and one double shot flat white.11824082_10206451148431260_679470491_n

a shout out to the barista – you made one heck of a soy cap compadre!

Miss Perez has a small breakfast menu – half is the standard like porridge and toast and the others are more exotic.

this morning I thought I would mix things up a bit so I chose ‘Chipotle Mushrooms’  goats curd, zaatar, spinach, toasted sour dough and poached eggs $17.00.

11823853_10206451148551263_474503896_nNathan always has some kind of big breakfast, so lucky there was the ‘Perez Big Breakfast’ free-range eggs, bacon, chorizo sausage, sauteed spinach, roasted mushrooms, chimuchurri and toasted sour dough $20.00.

eating this amount of goats curd in the morning was definitely an awakening experiece, but once I got the slight chili kick from the mushrooms, the mixed taste was utterly amazing. only now that I’m writing this I notice that I didn’t actually get served any spinach, whoopsie!

Nathan was very happy with his meal, and apparently the bacon was delicious.

if you are in Stirling and want a meal, I strongly suggest checking out Miss Perez. their Sunday dinner menu sounds so inviting, I will be going back to try it out.
